Helping young artists grow their careers


Australia Council for the Arts


ArtStart grants from the Australia Council for the Arts offers young artists up to $10,000 to help grow their careers. It’s big news in the arts world, but only has a tiny budget.  With campaign partner Zing, our solution was to engage key influencers to spread the word for us. Promoting ArtStart as “Fertiliser for Budding Artists”, we used social media and PR to drive artists to the campaign website, where they could either apply or download an ad, poster, banner, email or radio live read.


Two months later – to help launch round two of applications – we created a whole new art form called pogoism which we captured on video and posted online.  Using PR and social media to drive viral circulation of the video, pogoism helped drive budding artists in their thousands to artstartgrants.com.au
